Nicely done. The defense typically plays better than the offense in spring games… here redshirt-freshman Khari Al-Mateen makes a great one handed grab for the pick. Takes it the other way.Maine trying to build off last year’s 4-7 record. After a month of practice, Jack Cogrove and the coaching staff like what they see as the team moves forward into the summer months.Jack Cosgrove – Maine Head Coach”I thought we did some good work. I thought we did some good things out here. Obviously, there’s a lot of room for improvement. The most pleasing part was the advancement of a number of our young guys, our 1st year guys who red-shirted last year.We saw tremendous improvement in our offensive line this spring. I really feel good about the guys. We had a couple 1st year guys in joe hook and josh spearin at tackle in the c-a-a. Not fair. That’s not fair to them. I think both of those guys maybe among our most improved players right now which is exciting.”
