A Massachusetts man accused of murder, arson, and robbery pleaded not guilty to those charges Monday morning.32-year-old David Silva is accused of shooting and killing a 53-year-old Robert Orr of Readfield, stealing valuables from his home, and burning down the house in February.According to court documents, Silva took off to Massachusetts where he sold the stolen items and bought drugs. Police arrested Silva two days after the murder.Deputy Attorney General William Stokes says it could be awhile before Silva goes to trial. “Realistically speaking it’s unlikely this case will go to trial until after the first of the year,” Stokes said. “There’s another murder case pending in this county that occurred earlier so that would get priority first.”If convicted, Silva could be sentenced to 25-years-to-life in prison. After Monday’s hearing Silva was taken back to the Kennebec County Jail where he’ll continue to be held without bail.
