In Senior Watch, Rebecca Miller from the Northern New England Poison Center joined Carolyn Callahan on TV5 News at Noon to discuss what the poison center can do for seniors. They can answer questions about medications. For example if a senior took too many doses of meds, took the wrong medication, drug and food interactions. Sometimes seniors call because their pills are not the same color as usual or they forget to take a dose and it is close to time for the next dose. You can reach the poison center at 1-800-222-1222. A nurse will answer the phone and in many cases doctors contact them with questions.
