Maine’s Best HS Basketball Players Hold Practice at UMaine 

It’s McDonalds All-Star Weekend. The state’s top awards were handed out at Husson tonight. Tyler McFarland of Camden Hills took home Mr. Maine Basketball and Kayla Burchill of Deering won Miss Maine Basketball. Tim Throckmorton caught up with some of the states best players as their all-star teams met at UMaine for their only practice.Tyler McFarland – Camden Hills Senior”We go through the year hearing a lot about each other its good to finally get on the court and see what everyone has and an East West game will be competitive I think.”Camden Hills will be well represented. McFarland and Keegan Pieri coach Jeff Hart as well as Graham Safford who transferred to Hampden Academy two years ago.Graham Safford – Hampden Academy Senior”Yeah, I’m looking forward to it too playing with coach Hart again Keegan and Tyler, its been awhile so I’m really looking forward to it.””Keegan Graham and I have been talking about this game the last few weeks especially with coach Hart coaching as well.”The girls games feature a number of college bound players in their last high school game.
