If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, the Collins Center may be worth checking out.The Bangor Symphony Orchestra will be filling the halls with music, food and its annual auction. During the two day event, you can catch the Symphony Soiree, which will auction items ranging from Red Sox tickets to a stay in Turks and Caicos. The symphony also promises to entertain with a special concert showcase.This year, high school and college students from all throughout the state are getting a chance to take the stage. “We’re very excited about this and it really bodes well for more opportunities for our young instrumentalists in the area. We have people coming from two hours away to have this experience of playing with other peers,” said the Orchestra’s music director, Lucas Richman.The event kicks off on saturday with the live and silent auctions starting at 6 p.m.Tickets for the entire weekend are sixty-dollars per person.
