Man Caught Ferrying Drugs Gets 9 Years 

A man from Lubec was sentenced in District Court on Thursday to 9 years in jail for illegally importing oxycontin from Canada.40-year-old James Mills pled guilty in January of 2010 to attempting to smuggle 100 pills across the border back in September of 2009.Further investigation revealed that Mills had exchanged roughly $370,000 in drug proceeds into Canadian money during the 16 months leading up to his arrest.
