Former Basketball Player Faces Two Counts of Assault 

A former basketball player University of Maine at Augusta accused of beating another man in a bar fight faces two counts of assault.Investigators say 26-year-old Jawaan L. Stalling beat a 23-year-old man with a stick in Augusta in November of last year.The victim suffered a fractured skull as a result of the incident.Authorities believe the incident was racially motivated.Stalling was arrested on February 15th. He was freed that same day after posting a one thousand dollar cash bail.
