Board of Selectmen First Meeting Following Arrest of Elected Official 

The Board of Selectmen in Chelsea will meet Wednesday night. The first time since the arrest of the town’s top elected official.Fifty-two-year-old Carole Swan is accused of trying to get a 10-thousand dollar kickback from a road contractor. She’s charged with forgery and attempted theft.Town officials say Wednesday’s meeting is an opportunity for residents to ask questions and voice their concerns.Swan has been on the Select Board for nineteen years.She’s free on bail.
