Bank Robbing Bus Driver Sentenced 

A man known as the “Burly Bandit” is going to prison for 10 years.He was sentenced on Wednesday for 11 bank robberies in six northeastern states.48-year-old Robert Ferguson has admitted to a crime spree that began in April of 2010.He robbed a bank in Buffalo, New York, then hit banks and credit unions in Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.The last bank job happened on July 13th when the Bangor Saving Bank in Orono was robbed. Ferguson was arrested the day after, when he was identified from surveillance photos.Ferguson pled guilty to the crimes last October.On Wednesday, a Bangor judge ordered Ferguson to pay more than $81,000 in restitution to the banks he was found guilty of robbing.
