Test Results Reveal Meat Found in Guilford Was Not Tainted 

An investigator with the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department says a piece of meat that was believed to be tainted tested negative for poisoning.In January, we visited Sheila Grant at her home in Parkman.Grant’s dog died in December after ingesting antifreeze.That incident and the sickening of a dog and cat in guilford had pet owners on edge.A pet owner at Riverside Terrace in Guilford found the piece of raw meat and called police.The investigator says the results were reported Saturday and the meat appears to be dog food.Meanwhile, the death of the Parkman dog is still under investigation.
