Gardiner Store Robbed At Gunpoint 

Gardiner police are asking for help in finding a man they say robbed a store on Maine Avenue last night.Gardiner police chief James Toman says a man wearing dark clothing entered the Tiger Town Beverage and Redemption a little before 7:00 Monday night and pointed a gun at the female clerk.The man told the clerk not to look at him and then then emptied the cash register and fled the store on foot.A witness spotted the man as he ran off and headed towards a parking lot behind the store.Gardiner police were assisted by a K-9 unit from the Maine State Police but couldn’t find the man.Anyone with information is being asked to contact Detective Michael Durham of the Gardiner police at 582-3211.
