Day’s Jewelers’ Computers Hacked 

Customers of Day’s Jewelers are being encouraged to check their credit and debit card statements for any unauthorized charges.Days officials confirm the State Police Computer Crimes Unit is investigating a possible breach that involved hackers outside of the company. John Murphy, president of the Maine Credit Union League, says more than one thousand of their members who made purchases at Day’s stores in November and December have reported fraudulent activity on their credit and debit cards.Jeff Corey, president of Day’s Jewelers, said in a statement today, “We are working diligently with law enforcement as it investigates this criminal activity.
