The snow and cold temperatures are hurting a major industry.Ranchers and farmers throughout Maine are struggling to keep livestock alive this winter.The USDA Farm Service Agency wants to remind them they have programs that can help.Among them, the Livestock Indemnity Program and the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees, and Farm-raised Fish.To qualify for help, you must file notice with your local FSA office within 30 days of the time you lose your livestock.For more information, visit
