Florida Woman Found Guilty of Murdering Maine Man 

A jury has found a woman from Florida guilty of murdering a man from Dedham. 45-year-old Tamra Leasure was convicted of second-degree murder, after more than two hours of deliberation. Leasure testified she shot 57-year-old Arthur Tilley, Junior, in self defense.He was killed in March 2009 during an argument in her home.But police say after the shooting, Leasure told them she put the gun in Tilley’s hand to make it look like a suicide.Leasure told the jury Tilley came after her and said he was going to kill her. Tilley was a well-known member of the Bangor Kiwanis Club and his father is a former Bangor city councilor.A spokesperson for the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office says Leasure is expected to be sentenced next month.She faces 25 years to life in prison.
