UPDATE: Third UMaine Presidential Candidate Visits Orono

The third of four candidates to replace University of Maine President Robert Kennedy is on campus today.Daniel Julius is the vice president of academic affairs at the University of Alaska System of Higher Education.He’s in Orono today and tomorrow to meet with students, faculty and staff. Julius has lived in Maine before and says he’d love to return.He says he’d bring a lot to the table as the new president.”Enthusiasm, vision, the desire to reach out, the desire to build, the desire to serve the state, the confidence that I’ve done it in the past and in other similar situations particularly land grant institutions.”The final candidate for the job is scheduled to come to Orono next week. Kennedy is leaving the presidential post in June.
