Florida Woman on Trial for Murder of Maine Man 

A woman from Florida accused of murdering a man from Dedham is expected to tell a jury she did it in self-defense.45-year-old Tamra Leasure is charged with second degree murder in the death of 57-year-old Arthur Tilley, Junior.She’s on trial in Tampa, Florida.Police say Leasure shot Tilley three times last March during an argument in her home.They say after the shooting, Leasure told them she put the gun in Tilley’s hand to make it look like a suicide.The St. Petersburg Times reports in opening statements, Leasure’s lawyer said his client will testify she was standing her ground when she shot Tilley. The Times reports among the witnesses today, a 9-1-1 official who played a recording of Leasure saying, “He’s in my kitchen, dead.” Tilley was a well-known member of the Bangor Kiwanis Club and his father is a former Bangor city councilor.
