Trial Starts in Case of Florida Woman Accused of Murdering Maine Man 

Testimony is scheduled to begin on Tuesday in the trial a woman from Florida accused of murdering a man from Dedham.A jury was being chosen Monday in Tampa, Florida in the case of 45-year-old Tamra Leasure.She’s charged with second degree murder in the death of 57-year-old Arthur Tilley, Junior.Police say Leasure shot Tilley three times last March during an argument in her home in Florida.Leasure says she killed Tilley in self-defense.But police say after the shooting, Leasure told them she put the gun in Tilley’s hand to make it look like a suicide.Tilley was a well-known member of the Bangor Kiwanis Club and his father is a former Bangor city councilor.
