Old Town Blood Drive Honors Neighbor 

Folks in Old Town rolled up their sleeves and donated blood in memory of a well known neighbor.Charlene Brasslet was known by many through her work with the Daughters of Isabella, an organization she was a part of for 20 years.Brasslet also served lunch to students at old town’s leonard middle school.She passed away in October of a rare form of cancer.To carry on Charlene’s humanitarian legacy, her daughter Diane Muir decided to host a blood drive at a time when blood is needed most. “The need for blood right now is critical in this area due to the numerous snowstorms that we have had,” Diane saidIf you couldn’t donate blood Thursday, but would like to, you can visit the American Red Cross’ website at
