Space Shuttle Tragedy Remembered 

25 years ago Friday, the nation was shocked when the space shuttle Challenger exploded killing 7 astronauts on board.The Challenger Learning Center of Maine is honoring the anniversary of the tragedy with a special mission of their own.The center hosted a family science challenge focusing on lessons that teacher Christa McAullife planned to teach from orbit.McAullife was one of the 7 astronauts killed in the explosion.The lessons used science and math to help students build the skills needed in decision making, teamwork and problem solving.The Challenger center will open up its newest center in Louisville, Kentucky Friday, to coincide with the anniversary.
