Challenger Learning Center Marks 25th Anniversary of Space Shuttle Explosion 

The Challenger Learning Center of Maine will mark the 25th anniversary this week of the space shuttle explosion, with a special mission.Thursday night the center in Bangor is hosting a family science challenge. The evening’s designed to focus on lessons that teacher Christa McAullife planned to teach from orbit. She and six other astronauts were killed when the Challenger blew up on January 28th, 1986.The event runs Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and admission is a donation to the center.
