Gardiner Man Arrested for Allegedly Robbing Augusta Store 

A Gardiner man is behind bars after he allegedly robbed a Kennebec Market Store in Augusta.Augusta police say they arrested 35-year-old Samuel Sanchez. Authorities say Sanchez approached the store owner wearing a hooded sweatshirt and demanded money at around 6:45 Thursday night.We’re told the store owner gave him cash and Sanchez took off. Police were able to catch him using a witness’ description. He is being held on 20-thousand dollars cash bail.Sanchez has a crminal history from the state of Pennsylvania that includes a robbery dating back to 1993.
