Man and Dog Escape Burning House in Kingman 

A Kingman man and his dog escaped their burning home Tuesday night.Fire crews from Kingman as well as Springfield and Lee, were called to Park Street around 8 p.m.The man renting the two-story house told them there had been a fire in the chimney a few hours earlier.He thought it was out, but the flames ended up going into the attic.Fire fighters spent several hours battling those flames.Chief John Moody of the Kingman Fire Department says they used 10 to 12,000 gallons of water on the home.He adds that the house is still standing, but it’s pretty well destroyed.
