Gecko Comes to Town 

Today, the Maine Discovery Museum welcomed a new friend to its community.A baby gecko will call the museum its new home. The Caledonian Crested gecko is settling in on maine street. He’s resting up for a role in an educational mini series that will air on PBS.The museum thinks the gecko’s unique characteristics will be exciting for viewers, as well as kids who visit the exhibit.”He has an amazing super power. He can walk on glass and he has tiny little membranes on his little feet that work like suction and we are going to use him in an upcoming science event that we have at the end of January called Making Stuff kick off.”Kids can take part in ‘Making Stuff’ from Saturday, January 29th through Sunday, January 30th.
