A Prentiss woman is doing all she can to help rescued horses….Joyce Pomeroy and her sister opened the Last Stop Horse Rescue farm five years ago. Now, they’re licensed by the state to take in animals who need a safe home. But all this work doesn’t come without costs. To help ease the financial burden they had a bake sale Saturday at Tractor Supply in Bangor. They say the support has been overwhelming.” We’ve been having so many tearful moments for people that just come in. Sometimes they don’t even need a wristband. We have these wristbands that have our website on it. Sometimes they’ll just come in and say we don’t need any sugar, but here’s a donation. I can’t believe how much support there is in Maine for horses.”Folks can find more information about the horse rescue farm by going to their website www.laststophorserescue.com.
