Local Bank Donation Keeps Bangor Museum Free to Public 

You can visit a downtown Bangor museum for free thanks to a local bank.For the fourth year in a row the University of Maine Museum of Art in Bangor is opening its doors to the public for no cost, through a donation from Machias Savings Bank.The donation honors the late Ted Leonard, a friend of the bank and a champion of the arts.George Kinghor, director and curator of the museum says he hopes lots of folks take advantage of all the facility has to offer. “The museum changes out every three months, so there’s always something fresh to see. Four brand new exhibitions . We just opened our new series last night, 4 new shows that are up until March 26th.The University of Maine Museum of Art is located at 40 Harlow Street in downtown Bangor.
