Farmingdale Fire Sends Two to Hospital

A house fire in Farmingdale sent two people to the hospital. Fire investigators are now trying to figure out what started it. Farmingdale Assistant Fire Chief Michael LaPlante says crews were called to a house on Hasson Street, just before 3 p.m. Firefighters from Pittston, Randolph, West Gardiner and Hallowell also responded. LaPlante says when they got there, someone had already pulled two people out of the home. LaPlante says one person was taken to the hospital in Lewiston and the other was airlifted to a hospital in Portland. The fire was contained to an upstairs bedroom, where LaPlante says it’s believed to have started.
