GOP Exec. Dir. Receives Threats 

Maine Republican Party Chairman Charlie Webster is shrugging off a telephone threat that led to police visiting Republican headquarters in Augusta.GOP Executive Director Christie-Lee McNally says the threat targeted webster saying he might survive a 9 mm but it’s doubtful he’d survive a 50 caliber.” A gunman in Arizona used a 9 mm gun to shoot U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords. She survived but six other people were killed.Webster says the caller was probably upset that Maine voters elected a Republican Governor and gave republicans majorities in the State House and Senate.Police are trying to track the source of the call.
