A man from Southwest Harbor accused of kidnapping a woman from Ellsworth last summer and holding her against her will has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.35-year-old Ryan Cilley pleaded guilty to assault in October. He was originally charged last August with kidnapping, criminal restraint and terrorizing, too. The Hancock County District Attorney’s office reviewed the case and tells us there wasn’t enough evidence to support those other charges, so they were dropped. Cilley’s sentencing has been deferred until this October. We’re told if Cilley meets a number of conditions set by the court, he’ll receive a lighter sentence.
