Stockton Springs Man Sentenced for Wire Fraud 

A Stockton Springs man will spend two and a half years in prison for wire fraud. 50-year-old Todd Denson was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.According to James McCarthy, Assistant United States Attorney, testimony and evidence revealed Denson told prospective lenders he had at least $10-million in overseas banks.Denson said he would repay lenders more than the amount given to him within a few days of each loan. That never happened and he defrauded seven investors of more than $20,000.At the time of these offenses, he was on federal supervised release after his release from prison. He has been sentenced to an additional 15 months in prison for that violation.
