Man Accused of Killing Mainers in California Enters Plea 

One of two men from Maine accused of killing a couple from Maine while in Northern California has pleaded not guilty to murder. 30-year-old Robby Beasley and 28-year-old Elijah McKay are charged with the shooting deaths of Frank and Yvette Maddox.Police say the Maddox’s moved to California from Maine last year to help Beasley with a marijuana operation.The suspects and the victims are all from Kennebec County.Beasley entered a plea earlier this week. McKay is scheduled to do so in April. Last March, a driver who’d stopped by the side of the road in Lower Lake, California spotted the bodies of the Maddox’s at the bottom of a ditch.
