Sugarloaf Plans for Repairing Chairlift 

The chairlift that derailed at Sugarloaf last week remains shut down, but the resort’s goal is to get it back in service this season.The lift was damaged when a cable left its track Tuesday, causing five lift chairs to plunge up to thirty feet to the ground.Eight skiers were taken to hospitals..they’ve all since been released.Sugarloaf spokesman Ethan Austin says there’s no specific timetable for restoring service on the damaged lift, which is one of four that reach the mountain’s higher spots. He says parts have been ordered to make repairs.
