MMA Coach Intoxication Caused Fatal Car Crash 

Police say a coach with Maine Maritime Academy, killed in a car accident in October, was driving with a blood alcohol level that was twice the legal limit.Hancock County Deputy Chris Thornton says 24-year old Richard Dykas was also speeding the night of the crash, but that the primary cause of the crash was Dykas’ level of intoxication. The crash happened on Route 166 in the town of Penobscot.Another member of the coaching staff, 22-year old Steven Nackley was also in the vehicle.He was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
