If you’re someone who doesn’t like wrapping presents you can have the folks from United Cerebral Palsy of Maine do it for you. People from UCP have a station set up in the mall where they’ll wrap your gifts for you in exchange for donations. They say there’s no limit to how many gifts they’ll wrap, the more the merrier. This is the third year they’ve wrapped gifts at the mall and the people at UCP say the event gets bigger and better every year. “All money raised here today will come back to UCP of Maine to help people in Maine with disabilities,” says Tish Pendegast, Research Development Coordinator for the UCP. “So all money does stay local and this is a really large fundraiser for us.”Officials from United Cerebral Palsy of Maine say yesterday was a record setting day of wrapping presents. They’re hoping by the end of tonight they’ll hit their goal of raising $10,000.
