The folks at Manna say they’re busy collecting gifts for those a little less fortunate in the community.Manna’s Executive Director Bill Rae says they’ve had nearly 500 families sign up for help this year. Rae says they’re still a little short on gifts and now they’re asking for your help.Folks who want to help out can find Manna outside of JC-Penney’s in the Bangor Mall or you can drop off gifts or money to manna at 629 Main Street in bangor. Some things they need include sweat shirts, sweat pants, and toiletries. Manna is also getting set for their 15th annual Christmas feast at the Bangor Parks and Rec building on Main Street. They expect this year’s feast to be bigger then ever. “Christmas Day from 11:00 o’clock to one we’ll have busses out picking people up. But it’s a great time,” says Rae. “Santa Claus is going to show up to give out presents and explain the meaning of Christmas. We’ve got free dinner to anyone that wants to come. We’ve got turkey that’s been donated to us and we’re really excited about it. We have a choir coming in from Orrington this year to provide some music so it’s really neat.”Lowe’s has also donated 25 christmas trees for Manna to hand out to anyone who needs one.
