St. Joseph Hospital Surprises Patients 

Today, volunteers packed up holiday surprises for local residents.St. Joseph Hospital filled Christmas care packages for patients in their Homecare Program.Hospital employees donated household items ranging from peanut butter to shampoo.They will be delivered to about seventy homebound patients next week. “We have so many families that are going through so much stress, economical problems, and a bag of groceries would mean so much to these people,” said the Homecare Program’s Clinical Leader, Janice Hatch.The hospital set a goal to pack at least sixty-three bags in honor of the Felician Sisters.They’ve served the Bangor community for sixty-three years.
