Governor Says Goodbye to Blaine House 

After an eight year reign, it’s Governor John Baldacci’s last month in office.Having served in the worst economy since the depression, he’s says he’s still proud of the economic growth Maine has had.Taking a look back, Baldacci says a peak moment for him was when Lincoln Paper and Tissue reopened in 2004.It was during a time when Millworkers were fighting for their jobs as companies were filing for bankruptcy.In two weeks, Governor Baldacci’s family will head north to their new home in Holden.Baldacci won’t say what he plans on doing full-time in the future, but he says the energy sector, healthcare and teaching are all areas of interest.
