Bangor Police Looking for Men Involved in Attempted Home Invasion 

The Bangor police department is asking for your help to catch two men they say tried to force their way into a Bangor home Monday night.The incident happened around 6pm. According to police two men knocked on the door of a Newton Street home and told the homeowner they were having car trouble. When the homeowner turned to get the men a phone to use they tried forcing their way into the house.The resident was able to fight them off and the two men fled on foot. The two men are described as being around 5-foot eight. One had on a gray hooded sweathshirt and the other wore a dark jacket or sweatshirt.Anyone who saw anyone matching this description around the Newton Street, Spring Street, or Cumberland Street area or has any information is asked to call the bangor police at 947-7384 ext. 6.
