Lamoine Man Fights Rare Adrenal Gland Tumor 

A young man from Lamoine is in the fight of his life in hospital in Boston. 19-year-old Larry Birmingham, Junior, has an extremely rare tumor on his adrenal gland. His family says the tumor’s releasing toxins in his body that have nearly killed him. Birmingham was recently flown to Brigham and Woman’s Hospital where he’s in critical condition. Doctors are hoping to stabilize him for surgery.Friends have set up an account to help defray some of the medical costs for the family.Donations can be sent to Bangor Savings Bank, 59 Foster Street, Ellsworth, ME 04605.
