Bangor School District Looking to Renovate Cameron Stadium

Tim Throckmorton

The move is back on to give the Bangor football field a major facelift. The plan is to have an artificial turf field and new bleachers. Cameron Stadium was constructed in 1944. There was talk of the same plan three years ago, but the poor economy slowed the plan. Bangor superintendent Betsy Webb has announced plans to raise 7 million over the next three years for the project. If all goes well, a new stadium is five years away.
