Cooking With Cathy: Chocolate Chip Cookies 

In a 2-quart mason jar layer ingredients in order.1 cup whole wheat flour1 1/2 cups all purpose flour2 Tbsp. flax meal1 tsp. baking soda1 tsp. saltCombine sugars in a food safe plastic bag and place into mason jar on top of flour mixture.3/4 cup granulated sugar3/4 cup brown sugarPlace chocolate chips in a food safe plastic bag and place into mason jar on top of sugars.2 cups chocolate chipsAttach following recipe:Chocolate Chip CookiesContents of jar1 cup unsalted butter, softened1 tsp. pure vanilla extract2 eggsPreheat oven to 375º F.Remove chocolate chips from jar and set aside. Place sugars in the bowl of an electric mixer. Add butter and vanilla. Mix until combined. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl. Put lid back on mason jar and shake well to combine flour mixture. Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.Scoop out cookie dough onto parchment lined baking sheets. Bake for 11 – 12 minutes until golden brown. Makes approximately 52 cookiesRecipe Courtesy: Cathy Speronis
