Governor-Elect LePage Aims to Remove ‘Red Tape’ 

Maine’s next governor wants to remove the red tape for businesses. Governor-elect Paul LePage will meet with more than thirty members of the maine business association Tuesday to discuss how to make business better in the state. Recently, Forbes Magazine ranked Maine last in terms of business climate.Governor-elect LePage has asked business leaders to be part of an audit team that will focus on eliminating unnecessary road blocks to job creation in Maine. LePage says he recognizes that much of the regulatory framework needs to be in place for the health and well-being of Mainers, but he is seeking to find a balance between quality of life and good jobs for Mainers. LePage adds, “Everything that has the potential to move Maine forward will be considered.”
