Today, Bangor welcomed a new face to its city staff.Catherine Conlow had her first day on the job as the new city manager.She moved into her office this afternoon. Conlow left her job as the town manager in Orono in order to take the position in Bangor. During the next few weeks she will meet City Council members and get up to speed on community issues. “There’s a lot of activities. The airport and the waterfront development, and looking forward to getting involved with that. There’s a lot of staff here, and a lot of expertise and a lot of knowledge,” said Conlow.She replaces Ed Barrett, who left last year after twenty-two years in Bangor. He took a similar position in Lewiston in January.
