Accident on I-95 N 

Friday’s weather caused dangerous driving conditions throughout the area.Just before 3:30 Friday afternoon 21-year-old Kelsey Devine of Bangor was driving on I-95 Northbound when she attempted to pass a tractor trailer, but lost control of her car. “Hit the guard rail, bounced off the guard rail and became embedded underneath the trailer portion of the tractor trailer. Became stuck under there and the truck dragged her approximately a quarter mile before it came to a rest,” said Michael Johnston, Maine State Trooper.It happened by Exit 178 in Hampden.Neither Devine, or the driver of the trailer, 56-year-old Steven Pennington of Georgia, were seriously injured.The semi was carrying non-hazardous paper waste to Verso Paper Mill in Bucksport.Police say speed was a factor.
