Man Indicted in Connection with 2006 Bangor Murder 

A South Dakota man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man in Bangor.According to Bangor police, 25-year-old Kenneth John Bruning has been indicted for the murder of Trevor Sprague.The murder took place on March 7, 2006 under the Kenduskeag Stream Bridge on Harlow Street in Bangor.The Bangor Police Department and the Maine State Attorney General’s Office will work with authorities in South Dakota in order to work out extradition details.Bruning is currently facing several unrelated criminal charges in that state and it will take some time before an extradition process is finalized.Once Bruning is returned to Maine, a formal affidavit will be filed with the court outlining further details of facts and circumstances that led to the arrest.
