A mother from Hartland who’s living in Jordan as part of international child custody battle has been reunited with her missing 9-year-old son. Family members of Heidi Alsaleh say her son, Ahmed, was reconnected with her yesterday, along with his two younger sisters. They tell us they’re not sure how Jordanian authorities caught up with him or his father, who took off with Ahmed six weeks ago and went into hiding.Alsaleh, who’s getting a divorce, went to Jordan a year-and-a-half ago after her husband took their American-born children to that country. We’re told she and the three kids, along with her mother, are in a safe house in Jordan now. Alsaleh had hoped to come back to Maine with the children but Jordanian law may not allow that.
