Three Arrested in Ellsworth on Heroin Trafficking 

A stopped vehicle lead to three arrests in Ellsworth for heroin trafficking.State drug agents asked Ellsworth Police to stop a vehicle they believed had been involved in a drug transaction last week.Police say they found six bags of heroin in the vehicle.26-year-old Mark McFarland of Bar Harbor was arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin.Agents and Ellsworth officers then served a search warrant at 26-year-old Nina Wallace’s home.There, they allegedly seized an additional 70 bags of heroin.32-year-old Merton Dube of St. Johnsbury, Vermont was also at the residence. Wallace and Dube are also charged with trafficking in heroin. Dube is also accused of being the supplier of the drugs to Wallace, who was allegedly selling the heroin in Hancock County.
