Now that they know how much it will cost, Bangor city leaders will talk tonight about how to pay for a new Bangor arena.A city council workshop will feature presentations by two organizations helping raise money for the project. Last week, the companies charged with designing a new arena and revamping the civic center priced out the entire plan at up $80 million. Most of the money set aside for it comes from revenues to the city from Hollywood Slots. Eastern Maine Development Corporation is also trying to line up financial support, along with a group of business and civic leaders known as Friends of the Maine Center. The workshop is open to anyone to sit in on but chairperson Susan Hawes the council has already scheduled two public comment sessions on the project. The first will be December 2nd at city hall, the second is December 6th at the civic center.
