For many folks, holiday shopping begins in earnest this Friday.Black Friday deals start bright and early this year, with many stores opening at 4 a.m., some even open at Midnight.Electronics, clothing and jewelry are expected to move well this year.Economic trends also show that specialty shops should do well this holiday season.UMaine Economics Professor Jim McConnon believes Mainers will spend more this year than last.”Maine retailers are likely to see a slightly better year than last year,” says McConnon. “Personal income, wage or salary increase are both up about 2.6% this year as compared to last year.
