Bangor city leaders will learn tonight what’ll cost to replace a long-time local landmark. City councilors will take part in a meeting at 5 p.m. to find out the firm price tag for a new Bangor Arena and renovated civic center. They’re talking with the architect and construction manager chosen to design the project and then price it out. Up to now, they’ve worked off estimates of about $50 million for a new 8,000 seat auditorium and another $12 to $15 million for the civic center. Some projections have come in as high as $75 million dollars for all of the work. Once councilors know how much it’ll really cost, they’ll make a decision on whether to go forward with the plan.
