Maine Students Recognized for Creativity 

Students from across the State were recognized today for their creativity.Young artists were invited to the Blaine House in Augusta for tea with the first lady.Karen Baldacci developed the Maine Youth Excellence in Art Program.The program has given students the opportunity to have their artwork displayed in Augusta.More than five hundred pieces have been shown at the State House and other Capitol Buildings, including the Blaine House.This afternoon Baldacci thanked the students for sharing their work with the State.We’re told the program will continue into the next administration. The next group of artwork will be put on display in early February.
